This thorough health assessment provides a means of detecting ill‑health at the earliest possible stage ‑ looking particularly for early warning signs of cancer, heart disease or possible stress‑related disorders. The continuous monitoring of electrocardiogram and blood pressure during treadmill exercise is a particularly powerful tool for revealing latent or early heart disease ‑ even where such disease has not yet progressed to symptoms. In addition a thorough analysis is made of possible risk factors for the subsequent development of serious health problems, and appropriate advice given.
