With increasing physical activity the heart muscle must work harder and harder. When the coronary arteries supplying the heart muscle have a significant partial blockage, there will come a point where blood flow to the working heart is inadequate. The E.C.G. tracings then show certain abnormal patterns which are strongly suggestive of an impaired blood supply to the heart muscle.
This assessment is particularly indicated where an individual is experiencing symptoms and wishes to establish whether these symptoms are heart-related or not.
